Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The Arabic Language Center Abu Dhabi (ALC), part of the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, launched its new and improved website today, as he works on the implementation of the digital transformation strategy of the government of the United Arab Emirates.
The revamped site features content in Arabic and English, presented in an innovative design that adheres to the highest digital standards, making it easier for users to navigate and explore books, research papers, and tools. language learning.
Saeed H. Al Tunaiji, Acting Executive Director of Arabic Language Center Abu Dhabi, said, “Today we are moving into the next phase of the evolution of Arabic Language Center Abu Dhabi with the launch of a new website that reaffirms our commitment to providing resources of the highest standards to support our mission of promoting the Arabic language to the world. It has been designed to provide users with an innovative experience with easy navigation and creative dissemination of information, allowing visitors to seamlessly explore the Centre, its objectives, events, initiatives and activities. By tracking the progress of the digital age, we demonstrate our commitment to the UAE Government’s ongoing digital transformation momentum. »
The new website groups the content into several sections and subsections. Below Language and culturevisitors can find the Creative Content subsection, which includes translated and original books, as well as Peer-reviewed journals – Peer-reviewed Arabic language scientific journals publishing studies on Arabic language, literature, culture and important issues.
the Research and reports subsection presents recent ALC studies in areas related to the Arabic language, while Lists presents two notable projects: “One Hundred and One Novels”which aims to introduce readers to the most prominent Arab novels of the 20and century, and “One Hundred and One Books of Arab Heritage”which highlights books that have changed the face of Arabic, Islamic and world literature.
A section titled we speak arabic comprises three subsections: Language test “CIMA”, which is the French acronym for the International Certificate of Competence in Arabic, developed by the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris; Saoud & Rose, a video series that teaches Arabic to beginners; and Arabic language friends – an annual Arabic language contest for native and non-native speakers.
The new website also highlights the digital transformation and rapid development taking place in the publishing industry. In the digital library section, there is access to e-books, audio books and Wajeez Al Kutub (summary books) from the ALC collection. During this time, the EventsThe section of the website presents information related to notable conferences that the ALC has organized or participated in, including local, Arab and international exhibitions.
As part of Arabic Language Center Abu Dhabi’s strategy to support children’s and children’s literature, the websiteeloquent child section features a collection of children’s stories and books for young adults, in addition to educational songs. The site also presents the Lexicon service – a digital dictionary designed to support Arabic content – as well as the Subsidies and incentives section, detailing the annual grants ALC offers to applicants with innovative projects that meet a strict set of terms and conditions. The new website also features Specialized library, PricesandMedia Officesections, in addition to a Who we are section on LAC, its role, objectives and vision.
